Syncretic LLC ("Syncretic," "we," "us," or "our") is an AI system platform company with operations in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Melbourne, and New York. This statement applies to the website at syncretic.work and to the business interactions that begin there, such as emailing us or booking an introductory call. It is the controller responsible for the personal information described below.
This statement does not cover the systems we build and operate for our clients. When we process personal information on behalf of a client as part of a Syncretic System, we do so as a service provider or processor under that client's instructions and contract, and the client's own privacy notice governs that processing.
We collect only what we need to respond to you and to run our website. We do not use tracking cookies, we do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising, and we do not track you across other websites. To understand how our website is used, we run privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that store nothing on your device and never identify you. We use a small set of trusted providers to host the site, measure traffic, send email, and schedule meetings. You can contact us at any time to access, correct, or delete your information.
Information you give us directly. When you email us or use a contact link, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to include in your message. When you book an introductory call through our Google Calendar scheduling link, we receive the name, email address, and any details you provide when scheduling, along with the date and time you select.
Information collected automatically. We use PostHog, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to understand how our website is used — for example, which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. We run it in a cookieless mode: it stores nothing on your device (no cookies, no local storage), it does not identify you, and it does not track you across other websites. To count visits without storing identifiers, PostHog's servers turn your IP address and browser type into a temporary, irreversible code using a key that is discarded each day; we configure PostHog to discard your IP address rather than store it. We collect page views only — not your clicks, inputs, or keystrokes. Separately, like nearly all websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server log information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time of the request; this is used to operate and secure the site. The site also stores a single functional preference (your light or dark theme choice) locally in your browser; this stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. Information from third parties. If you book through Google Calendar or correspond with us through a third-party service, we may receive information from that service in order to complete the interaction. We do not buy personal information from data brokers.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, or financial account data) through this website, and we ask that you not send such information to us through it.
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries and provide the information you request; to schedule, confirm, and follow up on meetings; to operate, maintain, and secure our website; to send business communications you have asked for or that relate to a relationship between us; and to comply with our legal obligations and protect our legal rights.
We do not use your personal information to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects through solely automated means.

Our website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and our analytics (PostHog) runs in a cookieless mode that stores nothing on your device. The only data the site stores in your browser is a single functional preference, your light or dark theme choice, held in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is used only to display the site the way you left it. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings without affecting your ability to use the site.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track browser signals. If your browser or a privacy extension sends either signal, we do not load analytics at all. You can also opt out of analytics by contacting us using the details below.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We share information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services for us, such as website hosting, privacy-friendly analytics (PostHog), email delivery, and calendar scheduling (Google). These providers may process personal information only to provide services to us and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or enforce our agreements.
Business transfers. If Syncretic is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this statement.
Syncretic operates from the United States and other locations, and our service providers may process information in the United States or elsewhere. If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect personal information transferred internationally. For example, our analytics provider PostHog processes data in the United States and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions, with Standard Contractual Clauses as an additional safeguard.
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this statement: to respond to and maintain our correspondence with you, to keep records of our business relationships, to operate and secure the site, and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and operational purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to those who need it.
